MAUMEE, Ohio — Families with kids and teens that need somewhere to blow off steam while learning about proper coping skills within a safe and structured environment this summer are still able to register for a 10-week summer camp at Vital Health. The program has been running for two years now, with the third anticipating enrollment of 100 campers, ages 5 to 17 years old and led by licensed clinicians and behavioral health professionals.

TOLEDO, Ohio — A local nonprofit launched it's initiative of helping greater Toledo area youth succeed, especially those struggling with educational, social and potentially mental issues. Executive director and founder of Catherine's Safe Haven's, Justine Rice, started the organization in honor or her late cousin Catherine, who's life was stolen by gun violence. She explained Catherine was a strong advocate for at-risk youth and wanted to help make a change.

TOLEDO, Ohio — When focusing on a pregnancy or on a new baby, mothers may forget there's someone else they need to be caring for: themselves. Sisters United is hosting an event Monday evening to help current and expectant mothers learn how to balance motherhood and being mindful of their own health. Called "Clock that Tea," this event will be held at Gunckel Park on Monday from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. If it rains, the event will be held at the Kent Branch Library.
