ROCHESTER, N.Y. — If you have an iPhone, iPad or other Apple device, you may have recently received an email or postcard saying you might be entitled to money from a class action lawsuit against Apple. The notice claims it has to do with Siri secretly recording your conversations without your knowledge. According to the original complaint filed in California, the recordings happened even when users weren’t trying to use Siri.

PERINTON, N.Y. – If you’ve ever been jammed up in traffic trying to merge, this report is for you. Experts say a method called the “zipper merge” helps traffic flow smoothly. Well, when it’s done properly, of course. Drivers on Interstate 490 near Bushnell’s Basin in Perinton are being encouraged to use the zipper merge method during ongoing construction. The $60 million bridge replacement project has reduced the highway to one lane, causing potential traffic jams.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – A tiny orange tabby kitten found an unexpected home at News10NBC after being discovered stuck in one of the station’s news cars. The cat was safely freed with the help of Rochester firefighters. “I was there that morning, and this kitty had a whole lot to say!” said Hailie Higgins, News10NBC anchor and reporter.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Officers are searching for a suspect after a shooting in Rochester Monday afternoon. Our photojournalist got to the scene on Clinton Avenue around 1:40 p.m. and saw officers had put up yellow crime scene tape. Police say a man in his 20s was shot behind a corner store and has non-life-threatening injuries. The man was brought to Strong Memorial Hospital. Officers are still trying to figure out if the shooting is in any way associated with the corner store.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Thousands from across our community spent their Saturday morning making our city a cleaner place. The annual Clean Sweep welcomed a record-breaking crowd for this year’s clean up. Starting at Innovative Field, groups of people were bussed to locations around the City of Rochester in need of a little touching up.
