A 47-year-old man riding an e-bike in Central Park died after he crashed into a pedestrian, police said Thursday. Salvador Nico Garcia hit a 41-year-old man in the crosswalk on East Drive near East 97th St. about 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, cops said. Nico Garcia was thrown from his electric bike by the impact and slammed his head on the curb. Medics rushed him to Mount Sinai Morningside but he could not be saved. The pedestrian suffered a cut on his hand but did not need medical attention.

A driver died when he crashed into a Long Island Quaker meeting house and his vehicle burst into flames, officials said. The victim’s white hatchback veered off Northern Blvd. near Shelter Rock Road in Manhasset just before 5:30 a.m. and slammed into the Manhasset Friends Meeting House. The car burst into flames upon impact, officials said. The driver, the sole occupant in the car, died at the scene. Their name was not immediately released.
