Carine O’Grady, of the UCD Classical Museum and UCD school of classics, who died last January, left a will valued at €5.67 million, papers published by the Probate Office have shown. Ms O’Grady, of Stillorgan Road, Donnybrook, Dublin, was a secretary with the classics department. She was known to many academics and thousands of UCD classics students, many of whose theses she typed. She was also the widow of Mick O’Flanagan, a member of Ireland’s 1948 Rugby Grand Slam winning squad who died in 2015.

Mary Ronan, separated wife of property developer Johnny Ronan, left an estate valued at €5.6 million, according to documents published by the State’s Probate Office in May. Ms Ronan, born Mary Tilson and originally from Newtown, Co Waterford, died at Dublin’s Blackrock Clinic on August 14th last year. She and developer Johnny Ronan had three children and while they separated, according to reports, they never divorced.

The recent run of sunny days and high temperatures is set to end, with Met Éireann forecasting widespread rain over the weekend and an “unsettled” outlook for the coming week. Temperatures of 19 degrees are forecast for Friday, but patchy light rain and drizzle are expected later in the day. Conditions are expected to gradually become colder over the weekend, with Saturday forecast to be a wet and breezy day with outbreaks of rain spreading from the west.

Wednesday is expected to be another dry and sunny day, but Met Éireann has said rain is on the way. There is a chance of a few showers on Wednesday, but it will be largely dry. Highest temperatures will range from 17 to 22 degrees generally, but it’ll be cooler near northern coasts. Wednesday night will be dry with isolated mist patches around dawn. Lowest temperatures will range from 4 to 9 degrees. Thursday will also be largely dry.
