CLEVELAND (WJW) – A famed bar and restaurant on the waterfront in the Flats is being rejuvenated by more than a $1 million renovation project. A new building permit is posted on the front door of the former location for Shooters on the Water, a heralded location that closed recently. The permit shows renovations are moving forward. The permit states that the footprint will stay the same. The original bathrooms and bar will be rebuilt and crews are working to repair the deck, among other repairs.

CLEVELAND (WJW) – Over the weekend, a growing number of residents woke up to broken glass, damaged vehicle interiors, and in some cases, missing vehicles altogether. This happening over consecutive days across half a dozen streets through Westpark in Cleveland. “Back windows smashed in and came in, stripped the column, didn’t steal anything that we can tell,” vandalism victim Robert Delia said.

Those worries have been put to bed after the USDA identified additional funds to make food purchases, providing stability in the face of food insecurity.
