HOUSTON (KIAH) — The Texas House Committee on Corrections has finally listened to the concerns of those who are incarcerated in the state’s 90,000 prison facilities. On April 23, the Committee approved House Bill 3006, which requires prisons to have air conditioning installed by the end of 2032. The bill would provide $100 million over two phases.

HOUSTON (KIAH) — The Memorial Park Conservancy is working on a 100-acre revitalization project that will be the largest urban green space in Houston. The project is called Memorial Groves and it will revitalize 100 acres of space within Memorial Park. The plans call for the project to occupy the area that was the previous home to Camp Logan, now a space that has been preserved as a memorial for 70,000 soldiers who trained there between 1917-1919.
