    Community members are invited to lace up their running shoes and add a splash of color to their weekend at the Crown Color Run, a family-friendly event celebrating the Santa Maria Elks Rodeo Queen Contest. Children’s Resource & Referral and the Guadalupe Kiwanis Club have teamed up to host the run, 9 a.m. Saturday, April 19 at the Elks Unocal Event Center, 4040 Hwy. 101, Santa Maria. The run is open to participants of all ages and fitness levels.

Cal Poly Partners say housing in San Luis Obispo is in very challenging to secure. The school says they need up to 1000 housing units to support the demand for their growing team of faculty and staff.

On Monday, a ribbon cutting took place to celebrate the opening of the exhibit. The exhibit shares stories of trauma and hope from local children through art, memories, and personal narratives. It will be open at the Santa Maria Mall location from October 12-20th.

    New today at 11:41 am Published October 7, 2024 12:36 pm SANTA MARIA, Calif.- Starting today, the Santa Maria election office opens for voters. The office will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and those will be the office hours until the election. If voters want to drop off their ballot, there is a drop box located outside the building located at 511 Lakeside Parkway. There will be 30 drop boxes opening on October 7th.
