Former Michigan Mr. Basketball, Durral "Phat Phat" Brooks, has transferred to Central Michigan University. Brooks, a former Michigan Wolverines point guard, played minimally in his freshman season. Brooks is one of five Michigan players from the 2024-25 roster to transfer. The former Michigan Mr. Basketball has found a new home in his home state.

There's still time to bid on exclusive University of Michigan experiences and memorabilia for a great cause. The 2025 ChadTough Gala Online Auction runs through May 10 at 9:30 p.m., with funds going toward research to help cure pediatric brain cancer, particularly diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG). Chad Carr, the grandson of former Michigan football national championship coach Lloyd Carr, remains the inspiration for the drive after he was diagnosed with DIPG in September 2014.

It's a big week coming up for Michigan basketball. The NBA combine is scheduled to run from May 11-18 in Chicago and two former Wolverines were among the 75 players invited to participate in the event: Danny Wolf and Vlad Goldin, the duo that anchored Dusty May's first team in U-M and was nicknamed "Area-51."While all Wolverines supporters wish them well, that's not actually why the event is particularly notable.

If Michigan softball wasn’t in the NCAA Tournament already, it sure seems to be now. The Wolverines, firmly on the 64-team field's bubble with an RPI of No. 43 entering the Big Ten Tournament followed up an opening round victory by blanking No. 1 seed Oregon, 5-0, on May 8 in West Lafayette, Indiana, to advance to the semifinals. U-M will face the winner betwen 12-seed Purdue and 4-seed Ohio State at 7:30 p.m. May 9 with a spot in May 10's championship game on the line.

Nimari Burnett will return to Michigan for his sixth and final year of eligibility. Burnett cited his love for Michigan, the team, and the coaching staff as reasons for his return. For Nimari Burnett, Year 1 in Ann Arbor couldn't have been much more difficult. After years of being sidelined by a series of injuries at previous stops, Burnett finally got the playing time he desired, only for the team around him to fall apart.
