by Joseph GresserNEWPORT — A Newport Center woman is facing four charges of reckless endangerment and one of reckless or grossly negligent driving after police say she rear-ended two vehicles on April 6. Forty-six-year-old Jana Leigh appeared in the Criminal Division of Orleans County Superior Court and pled innocent to the five misdemeanors. District Court Judge Rory Thibault released Ms. Leigh on conditions.

He was born January 29, 1947, to Willie Mae Burkett, in Burlington. Soon after, he was adopted by Frederic and Delia (Morcomb) Kenyon of Burlington.

On Friday, April 11, 2025, the Vermont State Police, Orleans Fire Department and Orleans EMS, responded to the area of 2548 Barton Orleans Road in the Town of Barton, VT, for a report of a two-vehicle crash. Through investigation it was revealed that the operator had suffered a medical event while operating the vehicle and went off the roadway, crashing into a vehicle, which was parked and unoccupied. The operator was transported by Orleans EMS to North Country Hospital for minor injuries.
