More than 50 people showed up at the town hall to give their opinions about Lieutenant Governor John Rodgers’ desire to close off his road to traffic, and to discuss plans for the Shadow Lake dam. Mr. Rodgers has asked the board to make Rodgers Road a legal trail and allow him to put a fence across it so he can decide who can pass.

Glenn Ailes Jr.Glenn Carroll Ailes Jr., 92, of St. Johnsbury, died peacefully on May 17, 2025, at the St. Johnsbury Health and Rehab Center following a brief illness. He was born in St. Johnsbury on January 29, 1933, to Glenn C. and Martha (Paquin) Ailes. Glenn was predeceased by the love of his life, Barbara Elizabeth (Stone) Ailes, in 2019 after almost 60 years of marriage.

Video footage from the store shows 4 people enter the store, 1 blonde female in a black zip up sweatshirt and red shirt took an item from the store without paying for it. She was born Marsha Lynn Rossier to Samuel and Dorothy (Larocque) Rossier on April 2, 1948, in Saint Johnsbury. The second of five siblings, she grew up in Sutton, attended Lyndon Institute, and later received a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Johnson State College.
