    Local News Cleanup efforts continued into Wednesday, April 30, following a Tuesday evening storm that left thousands without power for hours. As of 3 p.m. Wednesday, 3770 First Energy Corporation customers were without power. Nine Central Electric customers were out of power at this time. Earlier, at about 7 a.m., First Energy Corporation reported about 5,891 Butler County customers had no power, and Central Electric Cooperative reported an additional 130 outages.

Organized by Ms. Jessica Sloan, Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV teacher of the visually impaired, this event was tailored to address both general and low-vision-specific fire safety practices.
