Butler Eagle

Butler Eagle

This family-run newspaper, known for its conservative values, started back in 1903 when the Butler County Observer (which began as the Evans City Times) combined with the original Butler Eagle. The Wise family has owned the newspaper since it first began. The elegant art deco office building that houses the Eagle was built in 1924 and is still in use today. In 2003, the printing operations relocated to a modern facility in the Island area of Butler.
