(WTAJ) — The Department of Community and Economic Development Secretary Rick Siger and other local representatives got the chance to tour Atlas Biotech, which looks to help those battling cancer. Atlas Biotech was founded in 2023 by Josh Reynolds, a PhD student at Penn State. Reynolds was a student at Texas A&M University before moving to Penn State. CLEARFIELD COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — One man was pronounced dead after a house fire in Jordan Township, according to the Clearfield County Coroner. The fire broke out Thursday, April 17, and when crews arrived, they noted finding a fully involved structure in flames. CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — The Bald Eagle State Forest conducted a prescribed burn for 113 acres of land that will help habitats for wildlife and more. The Bald Eagle State Forest and The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources have been working for years in sections to perform prescribed burns. The prescribed burns will reduce competition to scrub oak and pitch pine by competing vegetation, particularly red maple, sweet birch, mountain laurel, and witch hazel.
