    CRESCENT CITY, Calif. — April 19, Del Norte Assistant County Administrative Officer Randy Hooper was involved in a two-vehicle collision. The collision took place near Sand Mine Road and U.S. 101 at about 10 p.m. Saturday. According to the California Highway Patrol officer, Pete Gonzalez, the other driver involved sustained minor injuries.

The study will examine ways to help people in rural settings reduce their opioid use. The study will compare the effectiveness of two formulations of Buprenorphine in reducing their use.

    HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. — As the weather starts to warm up, the same can't be said for the Trinity River. According to first responders, the river remains cold and fast flowing this time of year, which can be hazardous. Humboldt County Sheriff William Honsal said that the Trinity River poses significant risks due to high water levels, cold temperatures, submerged obstacles, plus swift currents. Stating that even experienced swimmers may struggle in these conditions.
