A family of American oystercatchers, a protected bird in New Jersey that is listed as a species that is a cause for concern, have settled their nest at the busy Wildwood beach. And, officials are doing everything they can to make sure the chicks get a chance to fly.

A man who plead guilty to stealing a plane that he ultimately crash landed in Atlantic County and then attempted to break into a building while stranded there learned his sentence on Friday. The initial incident occurred in August of last year, when New Jersey State Police had a bizarre encounter with a barefoot 43-year-old Robert Wagner, which led to authorities finding the stolen plane in a field in Corbin City.

Newly released police bodycam videos show the chaotic and sometimes violent scenes that took place over Memorial Day weekend at the Seaside Heights boardwalk, which led to close to 85 arrests and three stabbings. The videos show police encountering the boardwalk brawls and making arrests, including of one person who police believed had a gun. Police became so overwhelmed they ultimately decided to clear the boardwalk altogether.

Robots are steering the wheel at the Atlantic City International Airport, as three autonomous vehicles are halfway through an 8-week, federally funded project that could lead to the future of airport maintenance and security, The project is a partnership with private companies, the federal government and Stockton University's National Aerospace Research and Technology Park, and is hoping to lay the ground work to get autonomous vehicles in airports nationwide.
