Pacific Peak Homes announced in a press release on April 4 its acquisition of Vicarro Skyline – a 50-home subdivision that is part of the Vicarro development by Diverse Properties. The development on the former Vicarro Ranch property encompasses 383 acres and 1,400 units on Eagle Mountain. An Abbotsford man who was charged with a “sextortion” incident in Port Moody has been sentenced to nine months in jail. Jesse Toews, 30, was sentenced Thursday (April 3) in Port Coquitlam provincial court after pleading guilty to publishing an intimate image without consent and using a computer password to commit an offence. Toews’ jail term will be followed by two years of probation.

The Abbotsford Police Department (APD) has released a composite sketch of a suspect in a sexual assault that occurred March 24 at Mill Lake Park. APD media officer Sgt. Paul Walker said police are still investigating the incident and are continuing to patrol the area on foot and in vehicles. The female victim reported that she had been walking in the park at 6:40 p.m. on March 24 when she was approached by a man who asked her for help to take a photo with his cellphone.
