A downtown Chilliwack apartment building has been destroyed after a fire Saturday afternoon (April 19). Heavy flames and smoke were coming from the top floor of a newer building in the 9300 block of Corbould Street, at the corner of Kipp Avenue. The fire started about 3:30 p.m. and a neighbour of the building said it seemed to have started in a top floor corner unit. Note: The Progress has few details of this incident and this story will be updated when it is available.
