ROSS County have confirmed that defender Ryan Leak has left the club following the expiry of his contract. The 27-year-old defender has left the Dingwall outfit following their relegation from the Scottish Premiership last week. The Welsh defender signed for Ross County in August 2023, after previously playing for Salford City in England. His departure comes after Scott Allardice and James Brown also decided to leave the club following their expiry of their contracts.

FORMER Inverness Caledonian Thistle manager John Robertson has been linked with a move to join Ross County’s coaching team next season. The Sunday Mail have reported today that the Staggies are considering bringing in the 60-year-old to join Don Cowie’s coaching team to help the Staggies win promotion back to the Premiership following being relegated this season.

Tain boxer Isabella Fioretti produced another knockout performance when she secured gold at The Manchester Box Cup for the second consecutive year. The Highland Boxing Academy fighter was in dominant form to claim the title as she won both her semi final and final by stoppage. She now gets ready to travel to Wales this weekend where she will look to retain the GB Three Nations title with Team Scotland. Fioretti has experienced success in competitions in the past.

AFTER being diagnosed with prostate cancer, Andrew Stokes is encouraging men to get themselves checked to ensure it can be caught early enough to save their lives. Four years of promoting the cause after one of his friends was diagnosed and sadly lost his battle, he himself was diagnosed with the condition earlier this year.

MAGNUS Henry answered a late call up from a rugby team from New Zealand to play at one of the most famous rugby sevens competitions in the world. The Highland Rugby Club winger agreed to play for Te Awamutu at the Melrose Sevens. Henry (27) who is a physical education teacher at Glenurquhart High School in Drumnadrochit, helped Te Awamatu reach the quarter finals of the competition. He was recommended by one of his Highland RFC teammates to answer the SOS from the New Zealand club.
