SAN ANTONIO – Tobin, Madla, McAllister, Wurzbach, and affectionately, “Henry B.”Those are names you see over and over again in San Antonio. To tell you the stories of those people, we’ll first introduce you to a man whose name you may not know: David P. Green. He’s an orthopedic surgeon by trade and a lover of trivia and history by trait. “I was on the faculty of the medical school for eight years, and my office was on Floyd Curl Drive,” Green said.

SAN ANTONIO – If you’ve driven on Highway 90 in San Antonio, you’ve likely seen the signs directing you to exit at General Hudnell Drive and Port San Antonio. The majority of people pass the exit and never look back, but in this story, we didn’t. “There’s a misconception that this is some sort of strange, off-the-grid federal enclave that operates under a different law, which isn’t true,” says Port SA CEO Jim Perschbach.

SAN ANTONIO – Scientists in San Antonio are working on what could eventually be a new vaccine for avian flu, or bird flu. The research has been ongoing for years, but recent news has perked their ears. Three herds of cattle in the U.S., in Kansas, Michigan and Texas, tested positive for avian flu. It was only transmitted to one human, and that was here in Texas. “The public health risk of this virus still at a low level,” said Texas Biomed Scientist Dr. Ahmed Elsayed.

We got a small bag in the media swag bag but I was hoping for a warm cup on a cold night.

Where’s the coffee ? @FriscoBowlGame

RT @LRam2: Way to go straight to the source @KSATMaryRom! We are still waiting on confirmation if Frank will play tonight.

This was so much fun and interesting to see each student’s individual talents. Kids these days are really media savvy!

Students created a script and acted out their own spin on Romeo & Juliet. They were able to learn about film production in the process. They learned technical vocabulary and how to edit audio and video thanks to a parent nice enough to volunteer his time. Thank you @wmcaldera ! https://t.co/RaK2fEMNwq
