1. IntroductionFluidized beds are extensively utilized in the energy and chemical industries. Gas–solid two-phase flows within fluidized beds—such as those involved in coal powder combustion, biomass gasification, pyrolysis, and desulfurization—entail the mixing of multi-component particles [1,2]. In coal combustion processes, the interaction between catalyst particles and coal particles is critical for optimizing fluidization behavior and enhancing the combustion efficiency of coal.

AfterwardsBattles produce corpses, multitudes of them. In a mass killing such as the Battle of Hastings, almost 1,000 years ago, hosts of living humans were transformed into corpses, bodies were strewn across mud and grass. The rituals of treating the dead 1,000 years ago are not entirely known to us, but certainly, if we have to, we can visualise shapeless body parts scattered over the fields.
