The trend teaches kids how to fiddle with their school laptops to make smoke come out. It’s been triggering chemical reactions leading to hazardous lithium battery fires. Derby’s fire department says the danger goes beyond flammability.

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Today marks 80 years since the allies formally accepted the surrender of Nazi Germany, marking the end of World War II in Europe. Veterans commemorate an anniversary for different reasons. The battlefield is something 100-year-old World War II vet Elias Hernandez doesn’t like to talk about. “It took me 25 years before I could erase the smell of blood,” Hernandez said. “I can’t even sleep at night all the way since 1945.”His experience with war made him unequivocally against it.

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Wichita Public Schools could have students using AI to complete assignments as soon as next year. The district’s new AI policy is being presented to the school board on Monday night and is already facing pushback. The district says students are already using AI to help with schoolwork. Officials say they’ve been training teachers on how to customize lessons using the technology.
