A man in his 20s who was seriously injured in a collision in Finglas yesterday evening has died. Gardai were called to the scene on the Cappagh Road shortly after 5 o'clock. The e-scooter rider was taken to Blanchardstown Hospital with serious injures and has since died. Gardai are appealing for witnesses.

A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Annie McCarrick. The 26 year old American went missing from her home in Sandymount in Dublin in March 1993. Gardaí say a man in his 60's was detained on suspicion of her murder this morning. A search operation is also underway at a house in the Clondalkin area of Dublin and the home and garden will be the subject of both technical and forensic examinations.

Jewellery worth over €100,000o has been recovered after a robbery from a business in the city centre in the early hours of this morning. A man in his 40s has been arrested. Gardai were called to the scene on Clarendon Street at 2.45am, following reports of a burglary. They discovered the premises was damaged and jewellery was taken. Gardai circulated a description of a suspect obtained from CCTV, and a man in his 40s was arrested a short time later near St Stephen's Green.

A 19 year-old cyclist has died following a collision in Lucan this morning. Gardai say the cyclist was struck by a van shortly after half-7. Emergency services were called to the scene at the junction of Griffeen Avenue, the R136 and Balgaddy Road where a cyclist was struck by a van. The 19 year old man received treatment at the scene before being taken to Tallaght Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Two more people have been arrested in connection with a hit and run which killed two people in December. Anthony Hogg and Georgina Hogg Moore were struck by a car which failed to remain at the scene on the evening of St. Stephen's Day. A man in his 40s and a woman in her 30s are being held at a Dublin Garda Station. Another man has previously appeared before the courts in connection with the crash.
