ARD

ARD, which stands for Arbeitsgemeinschaft der öffentlich-rechtlichen Rundfunkanstalten der Bundesrepublik Deutschland, is a collaborative group of Germany's regional public broadcasters. Established in 1950 in West Germany, ARD was created to advocate for the shared interests of the newly formed, decentralized broadcasting services that emerged after World War II. One of its primary goals was to develop a unified television network.
