A PWC Irish and Global Voice of the Consumer study gathered insights from 1,000 Irish and over 21,000 consumers across 28 countries and territories. It compared Irish attitudes to food, the environment and affordability to the global results.

Wholesale electricity prices fell by 2.3% in the month to May 2025 but were 0.8% higher than May 2024, according to the CSO's Wholesale Price Index data. The latest data also showed domestic producer prices for manufactured goods were on average 0.9% higher in May 2025 compared with a year earlier, while producer prices for exported goods were down by 2.0%. Overall, manufacturing producer prices were 1.8% lower in the year.

ALDI Ireland has announced a €5m investment in green, energy-efficient solutions, marking a major step in the retailer’s ongoing sustainability journey. Through a new two-year partnership with Greenvolt Next Ireland, ALDI is rolling out a nationwide solar retrofit programme at ALDI stores nationwide. The initiative will see solar panel installations begin in 2025 at 22 selected stores, with an additional 22 stores scheduled for installation in 2026.
