    Ruben Castro Charities celebrated the grand opening of its new community farm April 27 at 8602 Los Angeles Ave. in Moorpark. The public was invited to attend from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., where activities included a ribbon-cutting ceremony, tree planting and an introduction to the farm’s mission and goals. Developed in partnership with Helping Our Youth and the Magdaleno Family, the community farm is designed to address food insecurity and promote sustainable agriculture throughout Ventura County.
