CILT-FM, operating at 96.7 FM and known as Mix 96, is a radio station that offers a hot adult contemporary and classic hits format, much like CKNO-FM in Edmonton. Located in Steinbach, Manitoba, it caters to listeners in southeastern Manitoba, including areas as far as Winnipeg. The station started its journey in 1998, initially broadcasting an adult contemporary format under the name Lite 96.7. Today, it is owned by Golden West Broadcasting and, as of 2006, has transitioned to a mix of adult contemporary and variety hits, rebranding itself as MIX 96.

Provincial grant allows Hanover to install more EV charging stations

The Rural Municipality of Hanover has received a grant that will help support electric vehicles. Earlier this month, Environment and Climate Change Minister Mike Moyes announced a $500,000 investment for the installation of 51 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in our province. The money comes through the Climate Action Fund. Moyes says these projects help support the expansion of Manitoba's EV charging network and collaborative planning for regional green transportation initiatives.

RCMP are looking for tips after a jewelry store in Niverville was broken into this week. It happened at 88 Carats Co. on Main Street. Niverville RCMP were notified on Tuesday at 9:30 am of the break and enter. Officers were told that the store owner had just arrived and discovered the building had been broken into. Investigation revealed the suspects gained entry through breaking a second storey window sometime overnight.
