The Sports Network (TSN)
The Sports Network, commonly known as TSN, is a Canadian sports channel that broadcasts in English. It was launched in 1984 by the Labatt Brewing Company as one of the first specialty cable networks in Canada, inspired by a young Sean Skoreyko's vision. Since 2001, the channel has been primarily owned by Bell Canada, which operates through its subsidiary, Bell Media. Additionally, ESPN Inc. holds a minority interest with a 20% share in CTV Specialty Television, part of Bell Media. TSN stands out as the leading specialty channel in Canada, boasting significant financial success with revenues reaching $400.4 million in 2013.
