Originally launched in 1886 in the United States as a family-oriented publication, it evolved over the years into a literary magazine and has been dedicated to women's interests since 1965. As of 2011, the magazine features a wide range of topics including relationships, sex, health, career advice, personal development, celebrity news, fashion, and beauty. Published by the Hearst Corporation, Cosmopolitan boasts 64 international editions, which include countries such as Croatia, Greece, Romania, Estonia, the UK, Norway, Australia, Spain, Sweden, Malaysia, Singapore, various regions in the Middle East and Latin America, Hungary, Finland, the Netherlands, South Africa, France, Portugal, Armenia, and Russia.
