Coventry Telegraph
The Coventry Telegraph is a regional tabloid newspaper in England. It was established in 1891 by William Isaac Iliffe under the name The Midland Daily Telegraph, making it Coventry's first daily paper. Initially sold for half a penny, it was a four-page broadsheet. The newspaper adopted the name Coventry Evening Telegraph on November 17, 1941. Then, on October 2, 2006, it rebranded to Coventry Telegraph to mark its transition to a morning publication. In 1997, the newspaper became part of the Mirror Group, which later merged with Trinity to form Trinity Mirror. As of April 2015, the Coventry Telegraph had a paid daily circulation of slightly over 18,000 copies. Today, Trinity Mirror operates under the name Reach plc.
