COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — No one was inside a northeast Columbus home when a FedEx truck slammed into a house on Monday afternoon. Nathan Stout, the homeowner, said someone called his wife about an emergency at home. When the family arrived at the house, they saw the truck sticking out of the side. Stout said the truck destroyed a first-floor bathroom and his home office. The crash happened around 1:50 p.m. on Godeita St., officials said.

SEATTLE — There's new hope for people in the early stages of Alzheimer's disease. A new medication called donanemab appears to slow memory loss, giving patients the gift of more time. UW Medicine's Memory & Brain Wellness Center at Harborview Medical Center recently started treating patients with the drug. Bob Pringle is one of the first patients in Seattle to receive donanemab. "They already tell me it won’t cure it. It won’t stop it," Pringle said. While not a cure, donanemab does have promise.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (7News) — A 16-year-old boy is in the hospital after a stabbing at West Potomac High School in Fairfax County on Wednesday, authorities said. Officers with the Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) responded to the school and discovered that a teenager had been stabbed. The 16-year-old was initially rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Now, the teen's injuries have been downgraded to stable, FCPD said in a Noon update.

VATICAN CITY (7News) — The Catholic Church will bid farewell to Pope Francis this weekend as he is laid to rest in St. Peter's Square in a funeral led by the dean of the College of Cardinals, following days of public mourning, according to officials. The funeral for Pope Francis will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Peter’s Square, where hundreds of thousands are expected to pay their respects, the Vatican announced early Tuesday morning.
