KFTA-TV, which operates on virtual channel 24 and UHF digital channel 27, is a television station affiliated with Fox, based in Fort Smith, Arkansas. It serves the regions of the Arkansas River Valley and Northwest Arkansas. Nexstar Media Group owns the station, which is part of a duo with KNWA-TV, an NBC affiliate licensed in Rogers. Both stations share their studios in the Underwood Building on Dickson Street in Downtown Fayetteville. Additionally, they maintain a sales office and news bureau located on Kelley Highway in Fort Smith, where KFTA's original studio was situated. The transmitter for KFTA is found in an unincorporated area of northeastern Crawford County, south of Artist Point.

BERLIN (WJW) — Nine people were injured Wednesday when a Ryanair flight from Berlin to Milan encountered severe turbulence, forcing the aircraft to make an emergency landing in southern Germany. The flight, with 179 passengers and six crew members on board, encountered the intense turbulence around 8:30 p.m., forcing the pilot to make the unscheduled landing at Memmingen Airport in Bavaria. FAYETTEVILLE — Gastonia (N.C.) Ashbrook three-star linebacker Caleb Gordon has committed to Arkansas following a weekend official visit. The speedy Gordon, 6-0, 218, had a very good 2024 junior season. Gordon finished with 141 tackles, 49 solo, eight for loss, four sacks, two interceptions, a pair of fumble recoveries and one forced fumble. Gordon was one of eight recruits on official visits.
