KKSF-AM (San Francisco, CA)
KKSF (910 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station based in Oakland, California. Owned by iHeartMedia, it caters to the San Francisco-Oakland-San Jose media area and acts as the Bay Area partner for the Black Information Network. Its transmitter and twin tower setup are situated on Point Isabel in Richmond, California, overlooking San Francisco Bay. During the day, KKSF shares one of its towers with 1640 KDIA. The station broadcasts at 20,000 watts during daylight hours and reduces its power to 5,000 watts at night, using a directional antenna continuously. This power adjustment at night is necessary to avoid interference with other stations on the same frequency of AM 910. KKSF's studios are located in the vibrant SoMa district of San Francisco.
