Nature Publishing Group (NPG) is well-known among scientists and science enthusiasts in the Asia-Pacific region for publishing impactful scientific and medical content, both in print and online. Additionally, NPG handles traditional offerings like journal subscriptions, site licenses, advertising, and sponsorships in the region, and provides publishing services for prestigious Asian academic societies. NPG also collaborates with Nikkei Publishers Inc. to produce Nikkei Science Inc., which publishes Japan's leading popular science magazine, Nikkei Science, the Japanese version of Scientific American—a magazine that has been in continuous publication since 1845 and is a key source of authoritative scientific information in the media. NPG is part of Macmillan Science and Education, a global division of the Holtzbrinck Publishing Group, which encompasses seven high-quality academic, scholarly, and educational businesses.
