All the problems on the roster, this wasn't one of themIt wouldn't be an NFL Draft without the Miami Dolphins spending a draft pick on a running back, and that's exactly what they did on Saturday when they selected former Oklahoma State running back Ollie Gordon in the sixth round. Gordon is two years removed from winning the Doak Walker Award for best back in the country. Now, he will join a Dolphins team that is stacked with running back talent.

Guess this is their "who's that" draft pick. The Miami Dolphins still needed to improve their secondary, and they felt the fifth round was a good time to finally add someone to the unit. After taking Jordan Phillips with their first pick in Round 5, they finally made the move to get someone to compete in the secondary. Miami spent its second pick in the round on Florida corner Jason Marshall. He will need to develop, as will most of the players selected this deep into the proceedings.

There is definitely something going on. The media and fans agree the Miami Dolphins need to fix their secondary. It is becoming increasingly clear the Dolphins and general manager Chris Grier do not share their concerns. Miami passed on corners in Round 1, traded up in Round 2 to get a lineman, and got rid of two mid-round picks in the process. Either Grier is completely delusional or he has something up his sleeve.

Didn't see this one coming!Chris Grier isn't worried about his future with the Miami Dolphins, and he just proved it. The Dolphins had one pick remaining in Round 4, but instead of bolstering their defensive secondary, adding to their defensive front seven, or even continuing to build their offensive line, the Dolphins opted to get out of the round altogether. Miami was set to pick in the No. 116 spot when it traded the pick to the Houston Texans.

There is still a need despite their additions. The chatter entering Day 3 of the 2025 NFL Draft has centered around why Shedeur Sanders is still available. There are plenty of other quarterbacks still on the board, too, and the Miami Dolphins need to find one. Miami shouldn't touch Sanders, which means it still could. He has big problems with his game, and there have been questions about his ego. The Dolphins do have a need for a quarterback.
