Post Independent
The Glenwood Springs Post Independent was formed in November 2000 when the long-standing Glenwood Post joined forces with the newer Glenwood Independent. This newspaper provides coverage of various topics relevant to the community in the mountainous area of Garfield County, which is even bigger than the state of Rhode Island. Garfield County includes six towns: Glenwood Springs, Carbondale, New Castle, Silt, Rifle, and Parachute/Battlement Mesa.
