Poughkeepsie Journal
The Poughkeepsie Journal is a newspaper located in Poughkeepsie, New York, and is owned by the Gannett Company, which acquired it in 1977. Established in 1785, it didn't become a daily publication until 1860, making it the oldest newspaper in New York state and the third-oldest in the entire country. While the Journal mainly focuses on Dutchess County, it also covers the wider Mid-Hudson Valley region and provides some coverage to areas further south through the Journal News based in White Plains.
