Robert Parker Wine Advocate
Robert M. Parker, Jr. was born on July 23, 1947, in Baltimore, Maryland. He graduated with honors from the University of Maryland, where he studied History and minored in Art History. Afterward, he attended the University of Maryland Law School and completed his degree in 1973. For over ten years, he worked as an Attorney, then as a Senior Attorney, and eventually as Assistant General Counsel for the Farm Credit Banks in Baltimore. On March 9, 1984, he left his role as Assistant General Counsel to focus entirely on writing about wine.
