Santa Fe New Mexican

The Santa Fe New Mexican is a daily publication based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Founded in 1849, it holds the title of the oldest daily newspaper west of the Mississippi River. However, some argue that the St. Joseph Missouri News Press Gazette, which has origins dating back to 1845, may claim that title as St. Joseph, Missouri, is located west of the Mississippi.
