It’s summertime, which means it’s also time for summer drinks. For the past few summers, the spritz has been a staple cocktail. Made with prosecco, sparkling soda water, and a bitter liqueur like Aperol, the spritz is a flavorful drink that perfectly captures the vibes of summer. There’s so many different types of spritz to choose from: a Hugo Spritz if you prefer a more delicate flavor, or a Campari Spritz for a more bitter taste. Now, there’s a new liqueur on the scene: but only in Europe.

While classmates went home for the summer or friends hit the beach, I was absolutely loving my summer jobs and internships. But when it comes to adulting and post-shift drinks, it can be challenging to find NYC bars with DJs that bring the vibes while still feeling fun and approachable.

There’s not much else that screams summer quite like barbecued chicken. The smokiness of the grill and those classic char marks give such great flavor. But when you add it to a salad, you’t got a complete meal. This version of a BBQ chicken chopped salad from Maxine Sharf, culinary creator and recipe developer behind the popular account @maxiskitchen, is a hearty meal, not a word often used to describe a salad.

While I love Chicken McNuggets, Oreo McFlurries, and even a classic McDonald’s cheeseburger, when it comes to the Golden Arches, my go-to is (or should I say “was”) a McDonald’s Snack Wrap. Something about the juicy chicken topped with cheddar cheese and crunchy lettuce wrapped in a soft tortilla and dipped in ranch just never missed when it came to texture and flavor. But, much to my dismay (and that of fans nationwide), the cult-favorite menu item was discontinued nearly a decade ago.
