    NEWTON COUNTY – The Newton County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) is investigating an apparent hit-and-run that resulted in a 15-year-old’s death. According to a news release from the NCSO, deputies responded to a report of a hit-and-run on Highway 36 just south of Hummingbird Lane at around 10:30 p.m. on Monday. The victim, who was only identified as a 15-year-old male from Covington, was found in the roadway and pronounced dead at the scene.
