CULLMAN, Ala. – Local nonprofit Cullman County Bosom Buddies Foundation will host the Beautifully Brave Pageant on Saturday, Sept. 6, from 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. at the Burrow Center for Fine and Performing Arts on the campus of Wallace State Community College. Event Coordinator Rayven Peak said the group created the pageant to raise money for CCBBF. “I got the idea because my daughter and I both compete in pageants and love doing them,” Peak said.

CULLMAN, Ala. – The main branch of the Cullman County Public Library System (CCPLS) will be host multiple free events in conjunction with its Summer Reading Program. CCPLS Assistant Director Shelby Creekmore said there will be two special programs for the Summer Reading Program next week. “Our ‘Color Our World’ event will be Tuesday, June 24, at 10 a.m., and we will host the Cook Museum with their Ambassador Animals exhibit and they will be bringing turtles,” she said.

FAIRVIEW, Ala. – Fairview Elementary will be adding an agriscience program for its kindergarten through fifth-grade students as a weekly specialty class for all to attend. Elementary Agriscience Teacher Savanna Dutton said this means all students will learn about the depths of agriculture. “I think the kids will be able to see that agriculture isn’t just animals and planting crops, but it is part of our everyday life,” Dutton said.
