The Mercury (Pottstown, PA)
The Mercury is recognized as the smallest newspaper in the United States to have its employees win two Pulitzer Prizes. In 1979, Tom Kelly, a staff photographer, received the award for Spot News Photography. Then in 1990, Tom Hylton, also a staff member, was honored for his work in Editorial Writing. Over the last 75 years, The Mercury has earned hundreds of additional awards at both the state and national levels.
