MEDIA — The Media VFW Post 3460 held its annual Awards Luncheon on Sunday, April 13. Awards were presented for service to Veterans, their families and the local community. Gautam Mannem, a seventh grader from Charles F. Patton Middle School in Kennett Square, won for his Patriot Pen essay and Sophia Donnelly, Penncrest senior, won for her Voice of Democracy essay. The Ken Barlow award was presented to Ed Hess Jr., whose father Ed Hess won the award 10 years ago.

As that day approaches, communities are scrambling to find coverage for their residents. Crozer Health provides more than half of emergency medical services in Delaware County.
