WCSX is a classic rock FM radio station located in Detroit. Its transmitter is situated in Royal Oak Township, a suburb of Oakland County, near the intersection of 8 Mile Road and Wyoming Avenue. The station broadcasts its signal through a 951-foot tall antenna, utilizing an effective radiated power of 13,500 watts. Notably, five other radio stations in Detroit share the same tower with WCSX. Owned by Greater Media, WCSX is licensed to the Birmingham area, while its studios are based in Ferndale. Interestingly, despite its name, WCSX has no connection to the CSX Corporation.
