    BISMARCK, ND — A North Dakota state agency wants hunters in the lakes and wetlands to be extra cautious for a toxic blue-green algae. Officials with the Department of Environmental Quality say it could be present in waterways across the state, and multiple areas are seeing watches, advisories, and warnings. It produces a toxin that can cause health issues in humans and be deadly for pets. Authorities say to avoid bodies of water that have spilled green paint of pea soup on its surface.

    GRAND FORKS - Two people suffered serious injuries when a pickup rear-ended an SUV in Grand Forks County.  It happened on Highway 2 and Airport Road, west of Grand Forks, just after 6:30p.m. Monday.  Troopers say the SUV was stopped at a red light when a pickup driven by Travis Bell, 43, of Fordville rear-ended it. He was not hurt, but was arrested for Criminal Vehicular Injury.

    FARGO - A teenager was taken to the hospital after the minivan he was driving hit a tree and rolled in south Fargo. It happened in the 1400 block of North University just after 11:30 p.m. Sunday night. The State Patrol says the 18-year old from Fargo suffered life-threatening injuries. His name has not been released.
