EAST GRAND FORKS, MN – The Minnesota Department of Transportation is announcing the continuation of bridge inspections along the Red River in East Grand Forks. On Monday, they’ll conduct an inspection of the Sorlie Bridge, connecting Grand Forks and East Grand Forks on Demers Avenue. Then, on Tuesday and Wednesday, they’ll inspect the Kennedy Bridge, connecting the two cities via Highway 2 and Gateway Drive.

DEVILS LAKE, ND – The lead law enforcement official in Ramsey County is speaking out after his county was listed as a ‘sanctuary jurisdiction defying federal immigration law.’“Ramsey County is not a Sanctuary Jurisdiction and has no intention of becoming one,” Sheriff Bryan Lang said in a social media post Sunday.

TRAILL COUNTY, ND – A Gardner man suffers serious injuries after a pursuit and crash in Traill County. The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the man was driving a motorcycle recklessly southbound on I-29 near the Mayville exit when called in. Troopers responded and attempted a traffic stop but the driver failed to comply and continued southbound at a high rate of speed.

REGION – The Northern Lights should be visible tonight. “The sun’s magnetic field “unzipped” and a HUGE solar flare is heading our way,” Flag Family Chief Meteorologist Dean Wysocki said. “This means a GREAT chance to see the Northern Lights tonight.”He says the smoke in the atmosphere is forecast to diminish after midnight, allowing improved visibility for vivewing the lights.

EVERTS TOWNSHIP, MN – The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating a three-vehicle accident in Otter Tail County. It happened on Highway 78 in Everts Township on Saturday afternoon. The Patrol says three vehicles were traveling southwest on Highway 78 when the traffic slowed. All three vehicles ended up colliding. The Patrol says a fourth vehicle was also involved but left the scene before law enforcement arrived. Two people were taken to the Perham hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
