    June 05, 2025 The 18-year-old Milford High School student detained by federal immigration authorities on Saturday is set to be released. Immigration judge Jenny Beverly granted Marcelo Gomes Da Silva’s release in a Thursday hearing. Beverly set the bail amount for $2,000, and Gomes Da Silva’s attorney Robin Nice told GBH News that his family was set to pay it. Nice said it’s unlikely Gomes Da Silva will be detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement again while on bond.
