WRDQ is an independent TV station that broadcasts on virtual and UHF digital channel 27 in Orlando, Florida. It is operated by the Cox Media Group, which is a division of Cox Enterprises based in Atlanta. WRDQ works alongside ABC affiliate WFTV (channel 9) in a partnership known as a duopoly. Both stations have their studios located on East South Street in downtown Orlando, while WRDQ’s transmitter is situated in Christmas, Florida.

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — The Federal Aviation Administration is evaluating a proposal by SpaceX to dramatically increase the number of rocket launches from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. These launches would be in addition to the ones the company has lifting off from Kennedy Space Center. Accused FSU mass shooter to face judge after release from hospital

LEON COUNTY, Fla. — The suspect in a mass shooting at Florida State University has been released from the hospital and may face a judge for the first time on Tuesday. The Leon County Sheriff’s Office released a mugshot of 20-year-old Phoenix Ikner after his medical release on Monday. Investigators say Ikner killed two people and hurt six others on April 17 before he was shot by law enforcement. One student captured the gunfire outside the Student Union.

As of 3 p.m., there were already record rain totals in Orlando, Sanford, Daytona Beach and Kissimmee. Despite the record rain, there were no flooding reports, possibly due to the fact the region has been so dry leading into Monday.
