Cycling legend Barry Hoban has died at the age of 85, British Cycling have confirmed. Yorkshireman Hoban spent most of his career with the Mercier-Hutchinson team and won eight Tour de France stages between 1967 and 1975. He held the record as the most successful British rider in the Tour, before record stage winner Mark Cavendish surpassed him in 2009. In a statement British Cycling's chair Frank Slevin said: "We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of British cycling legend Barry Hoban.

Pulse's win was their sixth straight victory in as many games and puts them six points clear of second-placed Thunder in the standings. There's rough and then there's whatever Garrick Higgo found himself in on Friday during the second round of the 2025 Corales Puntacana Championship. After his tee shot on the 626-yard, par-5 14th, the South African lefty went offline with his second and found himself deep in it. Standing in the native area thick with tall grasses and surrounded by trees, Higgo hit his third and managed to whack it out back to the fairway. From there, he hit on and then made the putt.
