YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Yuma Police Department (YPD) arrested a man in connection to a stabbing incident. In a press release, the incident happened after 11:00 p.m. Sunday in the area of Avenue A, near Second Street, after YPD received reports regarding a disturbance in the area. When the officers arrived, YPD says they found a man, identified as 33-year-old Mauricio Robles, with blood on his hands.

SAN LUIS, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - For the last couple of San Luis, Arizona city council meetings, the call to the public section was not a part of the agenda. Some residents voiced how upset they were over this decision and reached out to News 11. We spoke with the mayor who shares why this portion of the meeting was temporarily removed from the agenda. About 10 residents walked into Wednesday night’s council meeting with signs to tell the city council to put the call for comments back in the agenda.

Crossroads Mission is having a Drive-thru Barbeque on Friday, April 11 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Motel 8 parking lot on 17th Street and Riley Avenue near Navy Federal Credit Union. All proceeds will go towards a much needed facility.

SAN LUIS, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - A non-profit organization gives local families a key to their new home in San Luis, Arizona. 11 families participated in the self-help program by Comite de Bienestar. They worked together along with a construction company to build their houses. One new home owner says this a dream comng true. "Building our own house gives an extra value to our lives and very happy," said Carmen Oliveros, a new house owner.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Due to the strong winds, the sign at the KFC on Fourth Avenue fell over Tuesday. According to a KFC employee, the sign went down at around 10:15 a.m. The employee says no damages and no injuries reported.
