(KYMA, KECY) - Two local lawmakers are in support of a bill that they say would solve the state's housing crisis. Arizona State Representative Nick Kupper says Senate Bill 1114 would allow housing developments on pause to move forward in Buckeye and Phoenix by reducing the amount of water permitted for each house to be developed. The legislation, which is also sponsored by Senator Tim Dunn, reduces projected water demand by 15%.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Yuma Police Department (YPD) is issuing a notification regarding a sex offender in the area. YPD says Jeffrey Scott Gray, 54, is residing in the area of 4th Avenue and 1st Street, and is described as six-feet, one-inch, weighing 190 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes. According to YPD, Gray molested a child who knew him back in 1994, and pled guilty of Attempted Sexual Conduct with a Minor the following year in Maricopa County.

YPD says Jim Desmond, 54, is residing in the area of South Virginia Drive and West 26th Street, and is described as five-feet, nine-inches, weighing 232 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.
